Service Description

Do you love to sing? Are you afraid to step out in faith and share your gift with the world? Let professional singer, songwriter, producer and mentor Janeen Ferdinand help you build strength from the inside out. Find your specific voice and gain the confidence you need to land more auditions while discovering your true gifts, talents, calling and purpose. YOU have a life-changing song inside of you just waiting to come out! In this unique class, Janeen teaches weekly faith based singing lessons in a beautiful, state of the art recording studio in San Gabriel California. Her students meet with her one-on-one, twice per week for one hour each. (Class requires a minimum of six months attendance). Students are developing and improving their singing and vocal techniques while preparing for and participating in recording sessions, solo and group performances in front of a live audience. Janeen helps her students develop the confidence they need to overcome the fear of public performance. All of her students are excelling and landing auditions. Highlights of Janeen’s class are: Learning the singing techniques that have helped her sustain a successful singing career for over 30 years; including nourishing the voice through proper nutrition and proper posture. Finding and appreciating the uniqueness of their own voice Using warm-up and breathing exercises, including scales and arpeggios. Singing different vowel sounds and shapes to get the best sound out of their voice Ear training, diction, pronunciation, consistent singing of melodies and harmonies on key Instructions on proper vocal care, so students don’t over-use, or damage their vocal chords Developing vocal strength and flexibility. Voice projection and extending their vocal range Vocal articulation – how to sing notes legato (smooth, without breaks) and staccato (detached and separated from other notes) Audition coaching and preparation Introduction to voiceovers, voice acting, voice and music recording in a state of the art recording studio. Students must sign up for a minimum of 6 months in order to take this class. Plan expires in 7 months from first class. No refunds. No exceptions.


Cancellation Policy

Terms and Conditions Booking Lessons must be booked with the teacher you wish to study with. Lessons must be confirmed within 48 hours of being offered, or the slot will be offered to another student – this also applies to rescheduled lessons. Regular times can be arranged directly with the teacher. Payments Payments can be made in person with cash or check, or via bank transfer or Paypal. Any bank or Paypal charges will be paid by the student, not the teacher and will be outlined on your invoice. Checks should be made out to THE BLESSING PUBLISHING HOUSE. When booking a first lesson, payment must be made in advance. Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy Lessons cancelled/rescheduled with 48 or more hours notice will not be charged Lessons cancelled/rescheduled with between 48 and 24 hours notice will be charged half the lesson fee. Lessons cancelled/rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full lesson fee. You will be sent an invoice for payment should any of the above occur. Cancellation by the Teacher Lessons cancelled/rescheduled by the teacher will be re-arranged at a time mutual to both parties. We will endeavor to give as much notice as possible in the event this occurs. Refunds Mentoring with Music, Janeen Ferdinand, nor The Blessing Publishing House will not offer a refund on any lessons, including those cancelled or missed. Rescheduled lessons on behalf of the student, or teacher will remain at the length of time and price originally booked. Attendance Please aim to arrive 5 minutes early for your lesson to avoid lengthy waiting times. Please do not interrupt the lesson in progress, but wait until your teacher comes to get you. Lesson time will not be made up if you are late, and your lesson will end at the scheduled time. If you miss your lesson slot completely, your lesson will be forfeit and not refunded or rescheduled. If the teacher is running late, you will receive your full lesson time. Parents/guardians are welcome to sit in with minors under the age of 14, or if deemed necessary by the teacher. Block Bookings/Packages Lessons paid for in a block, or as a package will be considered expired if not used within the time limit specified at the time of payment. Packages are valid for 1 year. Exceptional Circumstances The teacher reserves the right to refuse to teach any student that is contagiously ill, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or exhibiting violent, or harmful behavor. The teacher reserves the right to stop a lesson at any point should they feel it is necessary. In the event this happens during a period of recovering from an illness, the remaining portion of the lesson will be rescheduled at a time suitable for both parties. The teacher reserves the right to refuse, or discontinue lessons with any student for any reason at their discretion. Rights and Discretion The teachers of Mentoring with Music hold the rights and discretion to change, or amend any of the above Terms and Conditions if deemed necessary, or unavoidable.
